(Red vs Blue vs Team Fortress 2)

Connections : They are both red-wearing, American-accented soldiers who battle against blue-colored counterparts, and who are both rather unhinged. Both also use shotguns in battle and in spite of their commitments to the military, are in fact part of unofficial militias; the Soldier is a mercenary whilst Sarge is a simulation trooper. Both have teamed up with their blue foes to combat tougher foes (with the Blue Team against the Robots and the Blues against the Meta, respectively) and fought against evillier counterparts; the original Team Fortress Mercenaries and the Blues and Reds, respectively.
