Quick Pastel Sketch 12X9 on Strathmore 400: Now I know why none of my pastel friends work outside. Jeese, I had white pants on even. What a total mess. I have never worked with pastels so I was pretty surprised with how quickly they turned to mud. I took it home to work on the water a little.Related content

Love the use of dark blues against light blues in the water, it makes the clouds look all the more luminous.

Very nice work! Pastels look pretty much like crayons, and it's amazing how, if looked at from a considerable distance, it looks so realistic. Great job!
