Did a quick repaint last night of the $10 Funko I got from Amazon. I wasn’t too impressed with the lack of detail so I cracked open the paint and craft foam. I’m tempted to do some distressing to the TF figurine that’s coming in soon too.Related content

Jeez, talk about a major improvement! Your level of detail is incredible. Question... how did you create the distressed metal look? I've been customizing my minifigures for years and still can't make it look convincing.

That's a good question! I've tried a few techniques but I've started sticking with "paint-and-wipe" because it does yield the best results. This video does a better job explaining how to do it than I could (he does it on a master sword and shield, but the principles are still the same): youtu.be/CEWcGm9RkNk

They didn't even do his eyes? Your repaint looks a lot better.

Why thank you! Yeah, for some reason they didn't paint in his optics, which was frankly the easiest part. They even sell a rusted version of Codsworth and they didn't paint them in on that version either. :\
