Description
The fire types get most of the attention. If you'd ask anyone around here, the grass types get the least of the attention...
And today a friend of mine actually said all grass type pokémon suck.
But he is wrong.
Grass type pokémon are great.
And so are the bug types.
And just take a look on leavanny's face. OuO
Have a nice day

Grass might have the most disadvantages out of any individual type (Fire, Flying, Ice, Bug, AND Poison), but it can still be used effectively. Just... be prepared, is all.

This is hilarious. Sure, I like some Fire Types, but there are plenty of cool Grass-Types as well!
Great job!

You tell her, Leavanny! I used to be a fan of Leavanny.

Well, I used to use Leavanny for my stories, such as the Royal Knights, which is mainly about three different Pokémon: Kari the Ampharos: She's the only member of the Knights with a name. Roserade: She has the voice of Jackie from Cyberchase and is very kind. And Princess Azumarill: She's the rude and mean-spirited of the 3. Here's where Leavanny is used: He's a shy prince who has the voice of Melhouse from The Simpsons and works for the mischievous Purrloin. Purrloin has the voice of Bart from the Simpsons. Here's the main reason I gave up on Leavanny: I couldn't find a favorite character to become a leavanny. So I gave up.

Aha.
I have no idea who the voices are or how they sound.
Then again I don't know Royal knights...
So to me this doesn't really make that much sense, but I am certain that for you all that is a very good reason.
I think...

Grass-types aren't bad, really. It's just that Grass-types in general are in a pretty awkward position, simply because there are so many things that can easily replace them in terms of type matchups. And besides, Grass-types aren't hard hitting sort, but instead, speedy. Unless competitive, most of the time people (including me) would often consider Grass-types aren't offensive enough to take the precious slot on hand.
So yeah, I don't hate Grass-types, I've even tried to fit a Grass-type into my on hand party before. It's just some awkward reason makes them not easy to be used properly.

A well thought of and written comment about the matter.
And I must say you are right about this. Speed and health regeneration are their forte.
Attacking isn't really their cup of tea.
But I wouldn't really call them useless... Ah well, matter of opinion I guess

Although, depending on the current generation (like in the first), that could be different.
But personally, I think every type is good in some way.

There we go. I like you already
Every type has something great about them.
Every pokémon has a certain charm.
Just imagine pokémon without the less popular types...
We'd lose so much greatness...

I guess regardless of the species, generation, or type... there's some sort of use to the seemingly useless/overshadowed Pokemon... it's just that you have to find it yourself.
For example, contrary to popular belief on Magikarp being the most useless Pokemon with it's Splash attack and unable to learn TM/HM moves... they keep forgetting it can learn Tackle and more importantly... Flail (there's also a move tutor in BW2 that can teach it Bounce).
Yeah, although I can see there would be a case of a quality vs quantity.

Ah... Flail... Great stuff...
But yes. Soms may seem useless but they have their strengths.
Or just look good enough or are enough fun to use/fight. It still is ment to Be played by children as well
