Description Hey guises!

This is a poster I did for our new comic book entitled "SAVING POINT", previously named "A RANDOM ENCOUNTER".
Yeah, we changed the name cuz I saw (rather late ) that there was another comic that had kinda the same name, even though the theme nor style is like ours, but still. Gotta do it!

I decided to try out a bit of Scott Pilgrimness for this pinup, for lulz!

Tell me what you think of this! Would it make a good cover for the comic? (even though the style is nothing like the inside of the book!) I think it would make a quirky poster at least! :3

The awesome monsters were made by my hubby

Looks really cool! I guess I'm with Shyguy9, I would use the style in the pages I saw previously and made more action like cover. You want to atract your fans even more with some action looking cover! Nevertheless great work guys!

I like it a lot! But if this was the cover, I would expect the art inside to be similar. (I would probably be disappointed when I found out it wasn't, LOL.)

It totally works as a quirky poster tho'.

Vete pa'l cara...! I dig

Knowing how you two guys are working the story, it works, I'll buy anything that you guys do, but... (yeah I know)... This is going to be sold here and when I say "here", I meant locally... right? You know how it is here; Cute "cartoony" cover equals comic for kids under 10, nothing wrong if that is your intended market but I'm pretty sure is not... right? "Concern fathers" after your heads because their kids are having nightmares isn't cool... hummmm... but that could also be a good marketing gimmick.

Anyway, I could see myself buying the comic or the poster, heck! even stickers.

Yeah that's what Angel told me! XD
If the person doesnt know what "Scott Pilgrim " is, it does look like something for kids!

I just can't take my eyes off of Pocks (the dog) jajajaja Esque mi perro pone esa misma cara (cara de justiciero mamau)

Gracias por los comments Efra! MUCH apreciated!

When we where writing the story we took as much care as possible to make it "audience friendly". Although there is fantasy violence and romance "overtones" our intent is to make the book readable and enjoyable, despite the serious elements giving the story cohesion.

My first draft of the story was much more darker, but lacked the spark and diversity needed to make adequate references to the video game/fantasy/RPG genre without being tacky and "out of place".

You could see it like a classical RPG story with light hearted references to make it more modern, and dynamic. As the story progresses, you will see that despite the references, the plot is quite focused on a few topics.

I agree with you totally, I have the "preview" done for RBA at the PRCC and the story rocks (coming from a guy who doesn't play RPG games) I'm just a bit more worried of our famous "local" double-standards. I seriously think your comic is great.
