I'm a Hufflepuff at heart, though Pottermore sorted me into Ravenclaw, (who me!), though I thought I was a Slytherin, but I hoped I'd be a Gryffindor

Jaja, I'm a Gryffindor at heart AND according to that house test, but then Pottermore sorted me into Ravenclaw and I was like "wuuut! TO HELL with Pottermore!"

Yes I'm very familiar with HP. I've read every book.
"What the hell is a Hufflepuff?" is a line said by Dumbledore in A Very Potter Musical. You can watch it on youtube. It's hilarious!

Hufflepuff conquers all!
I've posted this before, but it bears repeating:
Gryffindors are like the ancient Celts: wild and fearless, casting aside their plaids and racing into battle naked, swinging their broadswords. Hufflepuffs are the Roman legions: loyal, disciplined, digging formal entrenchments at every nightβs encampment, marching into battle with shields interlocked, short swords at the ready. The Celts are romantic and we all love them, but who wins the Empire?
Ravenclaws? Theyβre the ancient Egyptians, the ones with centuries of arcane knowledge and impressive technical skills. And Slytherins are the Greeks: reaching for greatness, creating a brief civilization of unparalleled brilliance, establishing the foundations of Western intellectual culture, then falling apart in petty wars and political struggles and mutual distrust. And the Roman Legions march over them, and all they have is their history. Hufflepuff rules the world!

LOL! Great study!
But you forget that the ones who constantly write history in the series are...everyone...except the Hufflepuffs XD

People respect Ravenclaws, but nobody likes them. People like Hufflepuffs, but nobody respects them. Gryffindors are both liked and respected whether they deserve it or not, while Slytherins receive dislike and disrespect, whether they deserve it or not. No wonder so many of them joined the Dark Lord.

Haha--nice take on the houses! I don't think that people dislike Ravenclaws. I always saw it as the "safe" house. If the child of Slytherin of Gryffindor alums did not get sorted into her parents' house, Ravenclaw would always be the "acceptable" alternative!

In my mind I pair Ravenclaw and Slytherin as the "head" houses, houses of the intellect, with Gryffindor and Hufflepuff as the "heart" houses, houses of the emotions.
I have lots of different ways to classify the Houses. It can get pretty silly at times, but I enjoy it.

Well, what did Hufflepuff contribute to the story? Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor all had a role in the story, Hufflepuff just seemed to go along for the ride! They DESERVE all the bashing they get from fans! XD

i did notice that hufflepuff throughout the whole HP series was one house that got nothing occuring, and no real major characterin the story. find that a bit odd. they got the misc people lols

RangyRougee In reply to kingofthedededes73 [2011-07-17 01:12:47 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, they are kinda invisible. The only "major" character would be Cedric Diggory...but as all red shirts, he dies
