Well, when you start off, "I hate to do this, but...." generally doesnt set off on a positive note....just saying....for the record however, a pose can not be copyrighted.

Honestly to say the poses are the same or even similar shows that someone should pick up their anatomy book and study figures again, the only similarity here is that Captain America is drawn with stars as a background, but even the pattern is different, not even close to be a swipe, is like I could say the Chris Bachalo figure has a similarity to Spiderman because the pose is really close to Spidey web swinging, but I would probably be closer to say that because the pose it's similar in anatomy to a pose of Spiderman web swinging.

The similarity to the Bachalo work is really nitpicking. I looked at this Cap as stylistically similar to Ramos or Bachalo, but it's clearly not a swipe, trace or copy.Β

I'm sure he was, along with Campbell, and Turner, and Ramos - along with my friends DeBalfo, Tyndall, Metcalf, Labbe...I have a lot of artists that inspire me....still not sure how that is really relevant though....

....really?....the ONLY similarities between the two images, as far as the "pose" goes...is the positioning of the head, on the body...where...it's supposed to be...and MAYBE the left arm holding the shield...however, I hadn't actually seen that image until just now, which is odd, since Bachalo is my favorite artist...Β

Hey I know Randy is very unique, it may look Ramos inspired but I know Randy's drawings have been around for a while

Inspired by and stealing are two very different things. There is plenty of that stealing crap going on around here and Randy isn't one of the artists doing it.

Inspiration is not a bad thing, and this one was inspired by Ramos...but I do NOT trace, or copy another artist line for line, and call it my own...I was thumbing thru my Ramos book looking for references on Captain America, but that's it.

Similar position to the pic Ramos drew but big deal. It's totally yours. I think I did a pic inspired by one of yours (either here or on my tumblr) and credited you but like you not traced or copied, just my interpretation as is this. Great job.

I've known Randy for years -- he doesn't steal, ever. Ramos inspired? Sure, but it's all good.
