I simply colored it.
This is for the contest she's running. I just wanted the excuse to use my prisma color colored pencils. Yeah I made a big blunder on Artie's arm and tried to fix it but couldn't.
And can I say I hate doing black in coloring pencils. I haven't yet mastered how to do that yet, so..
I spazzed a little on Simi's eye color so had to consult my Dark Hunter Companion (Does that make me a Dark Hunter geek?) and found her wing color. The book said her wings are black and blue, so that's what I did. They also said her horns are black but made it red in this one.)

Well, the hornies work cuz in the book Simi often changes their color to match her outfits. I think that goes with her wings too, but I'm not sure. *shrugs*

When I couldn't remember her eyes, I had asked my hubs because he recently finished reading the series. He couldn't remember. So I hopped on YIM to ask one of the Minions but none was on. That's when my eyes landed on the Dark Hunter Companion. I knew THAT had to have the color suggestions I needed. Thank the goddess for that. It not only told me about her eye color but her wing color (and horns).
Guess I see dark purple as gothy and stuff (plus I have a soft spot for the coloring)

Sweet. Hehe I just started reading the series again with the idea of making images based on the characters. I to have my dh companion book but sometimes you need to read the book to get a good feel for them and to get all the details Awesome job

Acheron in paperback should be coming out soon sometime in April, then there is the manga which I can't wait to get my greedy hands on!
But yeah, you're right. It's nothing like reading it for yourselves but I was razzled with kids bothering me when I was working on it, so I spazzed on her coloring and had to consult it.

Oh I wasn't saying that's what you should have done. I'm just starting a series of images as I re-read the books. One of my ten million projects going. I am also thinking of rendering some scenes from the books.

I was wracking my brains with Simi's coloring, wanting to be correct when I asked the hubs to look in my Companion. Goddess love that book
