The vanishing point of the castle confuses me. I'm still learning perspective, so I don't want to say "this is wrong", but the parallel lines of the various castle edges don't meet at a single point, and I'm wondering if this was intentional, or an oversight? The foreground angles meet up perfectly, by comparison.
I hope this doesn't come off as rude! I love this painting, enough to try and study the perspective in the first place. Just by looking at the image, I can tell "it works", but I don't know if that's just my inexperienced eyes. It would help to hear from someone more knowledgable if they think the perspective is correct or not.

I aspire to be as skillful as you. Maybe some day, even if it's only half as good!

This is the kind of painting Ray Harryhousen would hang in his house!
How do I know? Been to his house and even had dinner with his family.

Stunning! You even pay attention to the foreground in a midground-based work, which is nice to see nowadays.
