Inspired by a classic and cliche story idea that involves Team Gai being sent into an alternate dimension.

In this dimension, the government of Konoha has become corrupt and has used its forces to scare their citizens into a sort of frightened, brainwashed state. There is a small resistance of former shinobi and fugitive civilians living secretly within the walls of Konoha.

Upon arrival, Team Gai seeks themselves out and find Lee and Tenten's opposites first. Instead of being shinobi, they find out that they're obedient, yet genuinely good civilians. Confused, they seek out Neji's counterpart and find that he is the leader of the Resistance and had wiped his teammates' memories for their own safety, having been charged with their wellbeing by his deceased sensei.

So, Team Gai obviously fights in the Resistance and eventually bring back Tenten and Lee's memories, so both Teams could fight as one.
