Omg that movie came on TV and it was the part where she was getting tired and he was suggesting she sleep with him. Me and my brothers were SOOOO creeped out!

Why so? nothing wrong with interspecies romance! it's no different than Star Wars humans with aliens romancing or Ariel and Eric. They were always a couple since the comics.
I mean interspecies romance worked with SW humans with aliens, Don and April, Minerva Mink and Ricky Mayers Jr in Lifestyles with Minerva Mink fanfiction, Trek humans with aliens, Madison and Tom Hanks in Splash and more. A person in comics/tv shows/animation/games/sci-fi fantasy stories has the right to love whoever they want to love.
As Prince Lir in The Last Unicorn once said when he found out the sexy girl he romanced was a humanized unicorn "Unicorn, mermaid, sorceress, vampire, gargoyle....no name you'd give her would surprise or frighten me, i love whom i love".

Even Marvel has Hezpibah and Corsair (a skunk-cat furry alien woman and a human space pirate), Beast and Carly on X-Men TAS, Gamora and Starlord, Lilandra and Xavier (alien bird woman that was evolved from birds born from an egg and mutant man) and Tigra and Hank who are cross-species of Beings in love.
