Β China had been centuries ahead in firearms technology during the Western middle ages and started exploring and trading with distant peoples with their great fleet of huge ships. Β But this stopped due to a change in Emperors then went into a long period of isolationism. Β What if the Chinese had kept developing technology and trading? Β Then they would have discovered and explored the Americas, found Asian descendent people and perhaps decided to ally with them as well as share their technology. Β So by the time the Spanish came to the Americas, the indigenous people were already armed with sophisticated firearms. Β
