I might spoil a bit but damn, Rogue one blew my shit away.Very well use of cgi to bring back old/original characters. The vader scene near the ending was just.... uhh I can't....
Prior to watching it though, I had to re-watch the prequel trilogy just to refresh my memory. Got home after watching it and re-watched episode IV. I'm so excited for more stand alone star wars movies that'll be coming in the future Here's another 2 hr speedpaint just to show my appreciation for that epic movie.

Since the Grand Moff was killed in that first film of the series, did the Emperor ever honor him with a new "Death Star" named for him? Of course the Emperor might have blamed the Grand Moff for the disaster, in which case he might have named new craft after more successful commanders. If they had learned of our galaxy, which is far, far away from their's, perhaps copying old television shows they could name a "Death Star" the "General Lee".

lol I tried the same marathon but I didn't even finish re-watching A New Hope before coming to this movie. Now I might end up re-watching A New Hope (from the beginning) anyway. I'm happy that my Prequel trilogy dvds come with the original theatrical edition and the remastered edition (I will be watching the theatrical editions of course

The CGI for Grand Moff Tarkin was better than I expected, but he still looked noticeably fake. Still, if the technology isn't used for things like this, it's not going to get any better.

Although I don't really watch star-wars, this is incredible! Only 2 hours!? Jeez! Thats amazing! Really like the hard shadow on the forehead and the blue highlights on the collar.
