moja twarz jest coraz bardziej
księżycem który zachodzi
pokryta siatką wyżłobień
jak grecka waza
wydobyta z ziemi
pełna pamięci dotyku
rąk i ust które od dawna już są prochem
w tej chwili
nadaje się tylko na muzealną półkę
zbyt krucha
i zbyt cenna
aby używać jej na co dzień

a moon that wanes
covered by a net of crevices
like a Grecian urn
dug up from the earth
full of the memory of touch
of hands and lips turned to dust so long ago
right now
it is fit only for a museum shelf
too fragile
and too precious
for everyday use
