na przykład: moje wnętrzności
o których nic nie wiem
mogą się splątać w hesperyjską różę
o ostrych kolcach
róża może wyróść
aż ponad przełyk
zatkać
otwór tchawicy wąski

i nagle
płuca pełne drobnych kłujących bólów
i powietrze trzepocące bezradnie
po przeciwnej stronie ulicy
ani podbiec ani go dosięgnąć
sygnał czerwony w oczach
strach jak milicjant na rogu

tak właśnie umiera się na kwiat
o którym
mówię
można nic nie wiedzieć

our possibilities are huge
for example: my innards
of which I know nothing
could knot into a Hesperidean rose
of sharp thorns
a rose could grow
way past the gullet
plug up
the windpipe's slim hole

and suddenly
the lungs full of tiny sharp aches
and the air fluttering helplessly
across the street
ungettable unreachable
in the eyes a red signal
fear like a policeman on the corner

this is how one dies upon a flower
of which
I say
one might know nothing
