Name: Arcus
Age: Unknown, appears to be 22-25

Appearance: Arcus was born an angel of Heaven, and as such his body carries a luminous quality, from his skin, to his hair, to his eyes. Assigned to the post of Shadow Archangel of the Darkening Realm, he was also gifted with a presence that could both terrify and calm at a moment's whim. His hair was a brilliant blue and his eyes carried the tones of the ocean in storm. This was his appearance until his demise as an angel, and his rebirth into the form of a counterfeit demon, by hand of the master demon Mysterious. (read History) When he reawoke, his visage was of a completely different nature. His hair, which had grown incredibly, now falls in cascades of blond, and his eyes, when calm, are drops of pure navy blue. In hieghtened moments of stress his eyes will adjust to be the amber of the demon nation, black slits as his only pupil and his fangs will increase in their size. He is rather tall, standing in at 6'1", and is of a leanly muscular build. Along his back, when he wills them, black wings can emerge; though in tribute to the soul that could never fully be tainted, his wings are a mixture of leather and feather, the only inclination to his former life as an angel.

Habits/Rituals:

-Arcus carries with him a book that transcribes the lives of all he has met. He has used it as an aid to repiece his life back together since the change, though his new form has no recollection of his days as an angel.
-He adores bathing, and will do so ritually at least twice a week, which one should keep in mind is a very intimate and private thing for him, and he should not be disturbed.
-Fable (in profile section) is considered as precious as a little brother. When meeting new people, it is often Arcus who will judge a person before he allows Fable to 'play' with them, seeing as the imp has no sense of what is right and wrong, nor the innocent from the evil.

History:

When Arcus was still an angel he was assigned to the same post as Genkai (He and Fable's master) during the war between the archangels and Heaven. During this time, Heaven sent the angels to save certain souls, but not all, from a tide of black death that had been created for cleansing. On the night he died, he discovered a three year old girl walking a bridge alone, in fear. Watching from a rooftop, he could see her eyes widen as the black tide engulfed the ditch below the bridge in a great tide of despair, and despite his orders not to save her, he plummeted towards her, catching the girl in his arms just as the tide touched her legs. He was able to set her safely to the side, but not before the bleakness got a hold of him and he was consummed, spirit, body, and soul. He died, and the little girl would forever have the black scars running down her calves- she would never run, but she could walk.

For those that are unfamiliar with the dealings of the Demon Realm and its occupants, there is a river of souls that passes through it. Each death of a person, done by sin or by the sinned, forces the souls of the deceased to pass through the Realm. Arcus' soul had to make its journey through this very place, seeing as he had defied orders directly from Heaven. In the time that it took for him to travel the waters, a demon known as Mysterious discovered his soul and extracted it to create a faux body and servant. Arcus was reborn as a child of sin, without any recollection of his former life. To his good fortune, he only was kept at the hands of the demon for two years. That was when he was sold... to the very friend who had come to find him; Genkai.

Genkai had not bought Arcus for his own personal use, but because Arcus had no memory of the Archangel he insisted on serving Genkai as any servant would. Until the day he can respectfully ask for freedom, he is determined to provide any sort of service that could benefit his master. Occasionally, however, Genkai has cornered him about his past life and has only confused him, but the presence of Fable, for unknown reasons, has started to make some of his past memories reemerge in the back of his mind, and he has begun to believe that there was indeed an angel in him once.
