Here I made an evolution based on how people would play consoles by indoor and outdoor play. We start all the way back int the 1980s. The Game and Watch was the first game that Nintendo made since the arcade. That's when the NES or Famicom came, and changed everything. You'll play the variety of games in one system unlike the Game and Watch. Let's look at what happend when Nintendo had home consoles and handheld consoles to now when Nintendo Switch became both home and handheld on the go.

The 1980s - The NES (Famicom) and Game and Watch

Early 90s - Gameboy (1989) and SNES/Super Famicom (1991)

Late 90s - Nintendo 64 (1996?) and Gameboy Color (1998) - Defeated to Playstation in Sales

Early 2000s - Gameboy Advance and Nintendo GameCube (2001) - Defeated to Playstation 2 in Sales

Late 2000s - Nintendo DS (2004) and Nintendo Wii (2006) - Successful Sale beating Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita

2010s - Nintendo 3DS (2011 - Successful Sale) and Wii U (2012 - Failed to Playstation 4 in Sales)

2020s - Nintendo Switch - Probably had been a tie-in sale to Playstation 5.
