I actually can see these two getting together if Bill was, you know, less mean towards him and the Pines family, and hadn't betrayed Ford like he did in the past. I can see Bill as someone that would like to help humans out, like he had helped Ford on his research of unusual beings back when he was younger.
I am thinking of making a fanfiction for these two since I now ship them romantically (with Older!Dipper that is; the 12-year old or normal Dipper would be weird....)/ platonically <3333
