I drew this to try and personify the piranha plant in the game, show his fear as he tries to escape from Mario, and yet cannot because his roots are entrenched in the piper.Related content

Was this handdrawn and then coloured in Photoshop? I really like the effect, great use of colour too.

hey thanks a lot! I actually did the whole thing in Photoshop- Drew the line-art with my wacom tablet then colored it on layers below the lineart.

Cool. Never looked into picking up a tablet before. I usually draw on paper and then scan, but my results are nowhere near as impressive as this. Great work again!
