It`s been a while since I`ve drawn any artwork and I`ve gotten a little rusty I`ll admit, so I decided to do what I always do when I`m not up to scratch with my drawing - an art Challenge, instead of going for an existing franchise and, considering I`ve been watching Digimon Adventure 2020 and Savers/Data Squad lately, I decided to design my own Partner Digimon.

This isn`t for any specific challenge online, though I`m sure there`s a similar art challenge somewhere, I just decided to create a Digimon evolution line as rough sketches and I aim to draw & colour each of my personal Digimon`s forms.

Note: Sorry this scan is a bit bright, I still don`t have any digital art software at the moment.

This piece shows Two forms, I decided to draw both the Baby & In-Training Forms of my Digimon on the same page as was inspired by those overly adorable Digitama cards from the Upcoming Digimon Card Game.

Nuggimon - A Baby Level Digimon with a mysterious nugget growing in it`s head, it`s feathers are really soft.

Attack:

Blue Bubbles - Simply blows some blue-tinted bubbles at the opponent, similar Bubble attack to other Baby Level Digimon with non-existent damage.

Nuggimon`s Name is a distorted version of the word "Nugget" referring to the small nugget growing from it`s head.

Kidkenmon - An In-Training Level Digimon who, similarly to DemiVeemon, has a much more developed body than the typical In-Training Digimon, He has small feet and chicken like arms though sadly they still aren`t properly formed yet, when it tries to pick something up he`ll eventually drop it as he can`t grip properly yet. The Nugget on his head has also grown slightly since he was Nuggimon. He also likes to snuggle up to it`s parent or tamer when it feels cold as his feathers still haven`t developed yet either.

Attacks:

Baby Beak: Pecks the opponent with his beak.

Mineral Hop: a small tackle attack using the Nugget on his head.

KidKenmon`s Name Derives from two words, "Kid" and "Chicken", not very imaginative I know.

I think both of these designs are absolutely adorable though did mess up a little on Kidkenmon`s Arms, I thing the front segment is a little too large and vertical as opposed to shorter and at a 45 degree angle, still really happy with this design.

This is the chain of command for my designs and the progression of this character`s evolution, I plan to draw an illustration for each of the following stages for this current challenge:

Baby > In-Training > Rookie > Champion > Ultimate > Mega.

(There are other possible forms a digimon can take but for my challenge I`m drawing this line only to keep things simple..er).

If there are any other digimon fans out there who want to give this challenge a shot then go for it, I look forward to seeing designs that other people come up with.
