And with the final few bites, the pony begins to change. The corruption the cake held passes on to the pony, the voices and the ponies own thoughts merging into one being, one magical...Gluteness...Messy and smelly creature who desires one thing. Food.

Just as Nightmare Moon was born and manifested from Luna's jealousy and hatred, so was this gluteness spirit born from a unknown ponies greed. It's spirit is much more crafty then Luna's own Nightmare, often abandoning it's host at the first sign of trouble leaving it's victim high, dry and in need of a VERY strict diet. While this means she can't exactly risk turning Equestria into a gluten filled empire it does mean she's much harder to track down, plus by infecting it's host through cake it doesn't need it's targets ok to be let in.

It should be noted that when corrupting a pony, it does not totally take over like Nightmare Moon. This Nightmare, I guess Nightmare Gluten, instead fuses with the pony's mind and personality. The pony is still the same person but has slight personality changes. They love eating and care nothing for manners (obviously) but are also more sadistic, dominating, desirable and ambitious.

Another quirk is that each pony consumed by the Nightmare obtains magical powers regardless of species, and said powers change drastically from pony to pony. For example, this little pony named Von Sweets now loves the idea of modelling, strutting her stuff on stage despite her rather large figure and poor habits. Those that disagree with her 'beauty' though are hypnotised to believe fat=sexy, and she spends her time showing herself off to the applaud of a brainwashed audience.
