My feelings on the game are mixed, I felt that having the choice to friend certain characters while unaware who could die next really helped to make anime stock characters feel important and likeable, plus a lot of the murder mysteries themselves were clever and interesting but the overarching mysteries were god awful falling into the old anime trap of taking things way outside the realm of reality for the final act. It's not that big a deal in something like a action show but in a game all about mysteries having the reveal be something so outlandish and impossible made me feel cheated. It's important you keep things down to earth in those sorts of stories and avoid jumping the shark at all costs. The ending of the game had the shark jump so high he's orbiting Pluto. Read up on the other games, seems it was smart to ditch the series since that shark has been heading for the edge of creation at impossible speeds. Still, loved the characters, loved the setup and the tone, just wish it hadn't fallen face first into a bowel of rusty nails in the final act.
