There he is. One year old and his coat is black as hell.

In the last past months it came to some incidents with our colt High Ace, where he was kicking the staff. Its nothing unusual for a foal. Every foal is testing out how far their can get with bad behavior and their are all learn about it.

Now High Ace has reached the age who he gets used to wearing the halter and soon he will be weaned. Since weeks we try to get him used to the halter. But he is freaking out every time. It is even enough if he only sees the halter. We have no clue where this antipathy is come from. He didn´t made bad experience with it in his short life and the Rassler Sports staff knows how to work with young horses. But nothing helps. Only with a lot of force and the helping hand of three employees we could fix the halter on him.

Also today we tried it again. He was lured with treats and soft words. After an act of strength, the halter was in place. Now. The little beast sprinted off. He was bucking, jumping and racing until he reached the end of the pasture, where the forest bordered.

When he was found in the shadow of the trees, he had already freed himself. He had managed to open the halter and now he was chewing on it. Another unsuccessful attempt. It seems impossible to made him docile. He wasn´t afraid of the halter, he just didn´t tolerate it. In this case we didn´t have to manage a scared horse but a really stubborn one. We decided to give him the nickname „Beast“.
