I have seen artists I have followed since 2010 remove their old work, and I have asked why.
The explanation was "It sucks. I don't want my fan base to see how bad I was then.".
Why not? This is a time travel trough your development of you
as an artist. How you improved as you learned.
New artists can learn from it. Compare and see the improvements.
Your bad poses vs your current work can have education value.

I hate when people hide their old stuff, I notice usually cause stuff in my favs have gone private and blanked out, which means they may not have liked the art but I did.

Whatβs wrong with older art. Itβs an example of improvement to show old works.

We all learn throughout life. By this logic a person should only look at their very ends which can be the worst production of their entire life. Which is obviously F-Ked up to think that way.

What's wrong with the old art? Instead of thinking of how bad it was, think about how much you've grown in that time.

Yes be it writing or poses like I do. Doesn't matter. It's of interest to anyone who cares about development.

YES!!! This always annoys me! I hate it when artists do that! Itβs fun to go and see it. Look at Skirtzzz, who is now a big name- the gap between her old stuff as her new stuff is huge.Β

My old poses which I find laughable are still to this day ending up on someones fav list. Much to my surprise, but still

One day I was eager to be the first person to draw Ashe from Overwatch pregnant (don't judge, lol), but I was away from home, and so I quickly sketched out a drawing in pen with the simplest pose imaginable. It took me all of three minutes and was done IN BALLPOINT PEN, and was never scanned- I just took a photo with my phone (you can see the shadow of the phone in the bottom corner)... and it has 50+ faves and is in the upper half of my most popular images. People STILL fave it, even though I did a better, pencil-drawn version and properly scanned it when I got home!
But I refuse to delete it, lol.

Keep your old stuff. Makes you a more helpful artist for it.
