With my luck it'd probably have sharp teeth, a short sword, and bad temper.

But the world is a strange, and oddly beautiful, place if you get to look close enough.

Punk faerie with a foaming at the mouth firefly is a good image. Who cares that fireflies don't get rabies? I have visions of having found the home of the "Bad Hair Day" Fairy.

Thanks! I was very relieved to get that lighting. I came back to this spot three mornings running, hoping the clouds would part before the sun moved too far. They finally did just a little too late, but some diffused fill flash on the 'shroom was enough to carry it.

Thanks. Compositionally I think this is one of my best. Its got the simplicity I often strive for, but still (I hope) maintains visual interest.
