What time is it? It's NINJA TIME!!!I like Naruto characters, and I like Adventure Time so I thought to myself, "why not do a mashup?".

Thank you very much for the critique! I am glad you enjoy the picture and took the time to really say how you felt about my work on this overall.
I agree, the dog tends to look more like Jake than Akamaru with my making the jowls the way they are here. I had to do some compromising in order to make the mashup more recognizable with the doggy half of the piece, so I made the face much more Jake-like. :3
The wiggly lineart and uneven proportions were intentional, all to pay homage to the Adventure Time's strange style.
I am working on some more crossover/parodies so I will keep in mind your critique for my next art pieces. Thank you again for writing this, have a good one!

Well one thing I noticed off the bat when first watching Naruto (those many many years ago lol), it's that even in Japanese they tend to say "Ninja" rather than "Shinobi", so that was part of my decision not to have the three syllable match word. That, and it's also easier for younger kids to recognize the word ninja than shinobi. ^_^
