Description
This is an illustration for Ratha's Island, the Twitter novelette.It shows Ratha punching the condor-eagle (based on Argentavis, the huge teratorn) in the chest to free a Named clan cub the bird had captured. The cub isn't just a passive victim; it is trying to bite the bird's leg.
This version is a work-in-progress.

I think the action on the drawing is pretty good. Right now the sketch looks a little cartoony, but I guess that is my style.

I've been trying to draw Ratha flying the bird, but birds are darn hard to draw.
I think I took the feline humanoid down at some point, so I've reposted her and some of the sketches. Mine isn't nearly human enough to pass for one, but she's human-shaped enough that she could live in a house and wear human clothes.
