Description Winner of 2nd place in the Apo Weekly Challenge:  fav.me/d7jt135

As with all my work, I highly recommend that you zoom in for the best viewing experience!!!

I was inspired by some photographs I took of the azure Caribbean from a cruise ship.  I wanted to emulate that seemingly empty yet beautiful scene of the ocean.  This week's challenge was interesting for me--this is my first fractal manipulation ever--and, in fact, I originally thought I wouldn't enter this week...but once this idea occurred to me, I knew I had to execute it.

This manipulation has been through many software programs.  Both the water and the sky were designed in Apophysis 7x 16.  The water was rendered in the same program, and the sky, because I felt I needed progressive rendering, was rendered (without parameter changes, so it's acceptable according the contest rules) in JWildfire 1.61.  The two were then combined in GIMP 2.8.  The water was stretched onto a perspective transformation matrix to create the illusion of depth, and the sky layer was duplicated, flipped, stretched to a similar matrix, and set to a low opacity to create the subtle "reflection" effect.  I then flattened all three layers and applied the lens flare.

My entry for the Apo Weekly Challenge #34 - Fractal Manipulations .  (We've been exempted from posting parameters this week, since with all the post-work, they would be fairly useless.)
