The second of a four-part nebula series: The Thought, The Beginning, The Means, and The End. They're an extended experiment with gradients: all of these have the same structure, including color values, but the gradient is changed in each to try to produce a wholly different image.

This is actually the first color scheme I decided I liked--the one that spawned the whole series.
