An Apophysis 7x fractal. As with all my fractals, I highly recommend you zoom in for the best viewing experience.Parameters: July 3, 2016

Wow this looks supernice! Im wondering what transformations you used, I've never seen something like this before.

Thank you! I'll admit I was hoping someone would ask
It's actually very simple: just spherical linked to loonie. Add some pre- and post- falloff2 transforms for blurring/coloring and a polar final transform to change the overall shape a bit.
If that doesn't make sense, hopefully providing as many examples as I can will help.
My last four uploads are all along these lines, and so are many of my upcoming uploads. For example, the three before this one:
As were:
Loss of Feeling
Horizon Effect
Tuesday Wonderland
Many older fractals in my gallery are also derivatives of this very simple spherical > loonie or loonie > spherical structure, or something similar:
Iridescence
Last Chapter of Dreaming
Faded Rainbows
Lucid Dreamer
Pseudorandom
Data Buffer
Virtual Daydreams
Basically, most of these are built off a single linked Xaos loop. You need at least one linear-like transform (I prefer loonie) and one spherical-like transform (spherical, ngon, curl, foci...) Once you have a basic 2-transform loop, consider adding more on top of it--just make sure you have one loop in the end.
To add color, probably using dc plugins (such as dc_linear) is easiest, and I've moved in that direction now. At the time, I didn't have these plugins, which is why you'll sometimes see concentric loops of color in the above--from the few native variations in the newest Apophysis 7X that have this capability: mul_c in the falloff2 variations. (I do my best to cover them up, but sometimes fail--they're in almost all of the above.)
Once you have your loop--which at this point should simply be one uninterrupted chain of transforms--you can consider making your "perfect" chain imperfect to add blur or highlights:
To add blur, simply add falloff2, etc. or blur, etc. to an existing transform, or duplicate a transform and add them.
For highlights (as in Loss of Feeling or Last Chapter of Dreaming ), duplicate a transform, delete its variations, and then either leave it empty or add small amounts of blur variations or noise.
I'll send you parameters via note if they would help.

Thanks a lot, I was already thinking that it should contain a loonie. This transform already looks good by itself. Probably if I have some more time I will play with it and we might help each other. I think I've seen you in our discord-chat im there pretty much everyday.
