ever since i lost my crabs i’ve wanted to get another animal of my own but my parents aren’t up for that
maybe they’ll be okay with a mouse :// but they said they won’t even get me a fish again so that’s probably unlikely. we did get a teacup chihuahua recently tho so i don’t think they wanna deal with any more pets

i like rats far more than mice; more durable and less timid [ depending if from breeders/pet stores ],,
why not let you get a fish?? they literally don't take up a lot of room

it might be cause they don’t live long long like my last one,, unlike my crabs who were alive for a while
plus one of our dogs is costing a lot of money for her pills so they might just not wanna risk dealing with any other animals until we’re financially in a better place
