Out on a nature hike today I found a patch of what I believe are poppies. They looked so wonderful against the sky. I hope you like this one, I may upload some others later.

I am absolutely shocked that I have been given a Daily Deviation. When I logged onto DA today and looked at my messages, I quickly looked to make sure I was actually logged into my account because I couldn't believe I had gotten so many messages and favorites. Honestly, it took me about 15 minutes to figure out that I had even been given a DD and I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the homepage of DA. This has been a very hard couple weeks for me, full of stress that I am sure many college students feel and, at times, it is difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Recently I have been turning to photography as a means to relieve stress and exercise my right brain and it is so gratifying to see that people appreciate what I have created. I am still in shock, but I wanna thank everyone here for making this happen.

I always thought the subject needs to be in focus to create something wonderful. Looks like the opposite works just as good! Wonderful shot!
