Description
Somewhere on DA I saw a guy who once in a while went back to a favorite photo of his and retouched it according to his current taste and skill. Just to see if he’d make progress since last time. I thought that was a fabulous idea. Funny how a photo is not only a frosen moment in time, its also a frozen example of the style you had in that particular period. Lately I’ve been into muting the colors and light, sort of making the photos appear as visions so dark, you were lucky to catch a glimpse of it before it was swallowed by pitch black eternal night.Ever since submitting “splash” it’s been the photo I’ve received the friendliest notes/mails about. Since it has never been on the frontpage, all the 163 people who has

Although a model throwing her head back in the water has been done a hundred times you have captured it in a very unique way with the sepia and marbled earth tone background. Very well done, Lars. Kudos

SO AMAZING!!!
the lighting on the flying water is perfect. so intense. i actually coughed when i saw this picture, cause i held my breathe for too long. the color is great. But i'm just so caught up with that lighing. it is so beautiful, the way it follows the motion of her hair, you've actually captured more than a single moment in this picture, you've captured an actual video of her moving. i can see it, when i see this water and her hair, in that forceful motion.
great work. definetly a keep it up man.

this....
this is without doubt one of the best photos it has ever been my eyes honor to view.
So fluid (ahem pun not intended lol), perfectly clear, at least to me, shadowed so well, and yet highlighted in just the right places...
every single time i see some new work of yours, I am beyond astounded. I am so glad i am watching you.
Oh, and I do the same thing... lol ask any of my watchers... (:devdracker: is fond of the phrase "You and your damn remakes" lol)
anyhow.. great, Raun, just absolutely great.

i've seen alot of photo's on DA that involve woman and water. but this is by far the most artistic expression yet, and the capture is beautiful.
gorgeus colors, a gorgeus shadow, it's a photo that plays with the eyes, and emotions.
a vast array of small perfections in this one.
great work!!

Hey, how do you think I got my "stale" (ever growing) watchlist in the first place?
The first version of this pic made me freeze when I saw it. This one might also do the same, if I hadn't seen the first one. Even in the darkness the suspended water is striking. Unfortunately the woman is less visible, so I would prefer the original. Good thing I can see both. The background on this one is like an old page as a sky ... or something.

hehe good point. Well, I was just poking those who seemingly exist only to every single unoriginal piece their idol goth artist churns out
Fair enough you like the b/w better. I intended the woman to be less visible. Instead the droplets stands out more, which is what makes the photo for me. Thank you very much for your comment
