heavy manips like these should go under digital darkroom (if not photo manipulation), and it wouldn't hurt to declare them as manips, so many people think this is real...

I guess I should agree, but in fact, I find categorizations arbitrary. In a real life exhibition it doesnt say below each photo: "this is a manipulated photograph".. "and this is an achitectural photograph".. "and this is a macro, defined as the photographic recording of images at magnifications near 1:1"
Photography can be about showing emotions, telling stories, attempting to be art, not mere technology and registrations of reality. Who cares about what was done to the photos as long as they look the way it was intended by the creator? I dont.

i'm not a purist, but there is a difference between tweaking and actual manips... and replacing the whole sky is definitely going over that border... i didn't make the sections, but they are there and should be obeyed to a certain point...

Wow, what a striking image. The dark outline of the tree and the fire red color of the clouds, reflecting even on the earth. There's such peace here, yet a lot of tension. Very nice shot, it's stunning.

The colors of the sky are almost overwhelming- but compare nicely with the other shades in this image.
I love how much color, how much life is in the entire image- even though it seems as if the intent was something darker, something perhaps even touching on the macabre. That idea gives it a very nice feel... like watching a Christmas tree in a pitch black room.
