I know this is a really old piece, and I commented on it a while ago, but I read something recently which reminded me of it. It's a quote from 'Sputnik Sweetheart' by Haruki Murakami:
βAnd it came to me then. That we were wonderful travelling companions, but in the end no more than lonely lumps of metal on their own separate orbits. From far off they look like beautiful shooting stars, but in reality theyβre nothing more than prisons, where each of us is locked up alone, going nowhere. When the orbits of these two satellites of ours happen to cross paths, we could be together. Maybe even open our hearts to each other. But that was only for the briefest moment. I got chills from looking at this pic. My mom had that "footprints in the sand" thing hanging on the wall for many years. This picture nails exactly how I felt everytime I looked at it. Very moving...kudos...keep up the good work.

it reminds me of "footprints" and I hate fucking footprints. Everybody know this that's why they always send me that damn card.
But I like this.. it's so.. "there youGO!!" two snaps and all
question though... are the footprints facing "us".. because if they are, then it would seem that the two people are closer now than when they started...

wow, amazing shot, i have been taking some sand shots and ive noticed my images have suffered the same problems as yours, lots of noise in the detailed parts, do you know the reason for this?

indeed as you say, the title says it all. great concept and idea and the execution is great. altough the people meet on their way, they prefered to die alone...I realy like that concept!
