To answer your questions: It was lit with a prophoto flash system (1 1,5x1,5 meter softbox about 10 feet behind me and a ringflash mounted on the lens, most kindly lent to me by a professional photographer. If only I had 10000$ for such a system, it was pure joy to work with).
The plane is a russian L29-dolphin (small jetfighter). The pilot told me it used to be the most used plane in the USSR's airforce. The helmet he got from some legendary russian ace (forgot his name).
The model I only met yesterday. She's a friend of a photographer friend of mine. I might upload another shot from yesterday in color, just so you can see her eyes, such a bright blue that I instantly thought she wore those SF contactlenses

Imagewise i prefer the black and white version much more than the colour one.
The light in here is nothing but amazing, same with the tones...

i like this picture too. but the fact that it's black and white gives it a completely different feeling (for me). the other one was more "pop", this one is more "classic". but they're both, in essence, very good.
