Description
"A foreigner from fielded landsWith prairie thoughts of desert sands
Who'd never seen a wood of oak,
He came to visit forest folk.
And in surprise he only sees
The mighty oaks and cypress knees,
Begged, "Someone will you help me please?
I cannot see the forest for the trees."
So I, a common forest folk,
Rustled in the leaves and spoke,
"Don't look into the wooden faces
Searching for the forest places;
Wander with the scented breeze,
Past mighty oaks and cypress knees,
Forget the timber your eye sees;
Our forest is the space between the trees." - Thomas James Allen

This pictures taken by a poem or by a script have a lot of magic...
Putting into image the toughts of a man, is like taking a photo of a piece of mind. So merely sincere...
This image is so nostalgic...

If ever a photograph went with a poem, this is the one.
Excellent capture. The lighting, the subject in his suit, walking in the space between the trees!
Fantastic!

Great shots in your gallery, I've just taken a look there. This one takes up to my mind my favourite movie, by Theo Angelopoulos (Cannes winner).
Excellent.

You've done such a lovely job with this whole entire lay out. I mean the poem is perfect for your photograph. I know this is a weird thing to say for black and white photo, but you can really see the color in this piece. The lighting is fanominal, and depth perception is extrodinary! Your background is wonderful, how the light comes through the trees and shows some of the needles on the pines is beautiful. You also have a good even border, the plants and shrubs and the tree stump add to the wonder of this photograph!

Might sound redundant but I also love it . I like how the man looks "out of place" in this forest because of his clothes and such... The lighting is also incredible.

amazing... i love the light, and the texture of the trees, and how it's sort of surreal to see a guy in an old-fashioned suit walking through a forest. was it photoshopped at all?

awesome .... absolutely awesome!
brilliant concept and wonderful execution. The light through the trees mystifies the image, and i like how the figure is running/hopping lightly within the scene. The poem was a wicked addition to this, gave some light into the scene itself.
The mask on the man's face bothers me a little, but the use of a suit/tuxedo is great in contrast to 'natural' versus 'man'. Almost as if from a strange dream.
V. well done!

hehe, i didnt say they were natural. They are natural in the sense that I captured them by camera, but I've altered the contrasts so they look more intense than originally.
Thank you very much for the comment

thanks for the comment and
It was taken a weekend a week ago. We were on the way to the annual christmas-family-gettogether, and someone needed to take a leek, so we pulled over. It was in a random forest in the middle of Jutland, can't tell you the name of it sorry, as I dont know exactly where we were Well, it was a very misty day, and I had 5 minutes to capture the brilliant light in this forest. Took 5 shots, and all 5 came out nicely, which is very unusual for me, cuz I normally take 300 photos to get 1 or 2 decent ones
