Description
"A foreigner from fielded landsWith prairie thoughts of desert sands
Who'd never seen a wood of oak,
He came to visit forest folk.
And in surprise he only sees
The mighty oaks and cypress knees,
Begged, "Someone will you help me please?
I cannot see the forest for the trees."
So I, a common forest folk,
Rustled in the leaves and spoke,
"Don't look into the wooden faces
Searching for the forest places;
Wander with the scented breeze,
Past mighty oaks and cypress knees,
Forget the timber your eye sees;
Our forest is the space between the trees." - Thomas James Allen

hmm, this is outstanding, what alterations did you do to this, it looks almost like there was a diffuse glow or something applied, its smooth and sharp at the same time, absoulutly phenominal!

I love how the foreigner (in respect to its definition) looks so out of place in the scene, both in manner and in appearance. This gives a very peculiar feeling to the picture, but that's what it was meant to do.

Oh, this is breathtaking. The rays of light through the trees (always a weakness of mine) are just so beautiful. What I really like about this piece is that not only is the man completely out of place in his tux, but he's also looking down and walking determinedly ahead. It just adds so much atmosphere to me. Also, I reaaally like that tree on the right. The dark one. The tree and the man are great anchor points.
Ah, if only I were a good photographer. Or had a nice camera, for that matter.
