She could see that this non-elf did not prefer the company of dark elves...
"Darian!," The dark elf mercenary, Erngath said "You are not a social creature I see?"
"Sod off." Lord Darian shooed.
"How can your king promote you as a lord with that attitude?" Erngath asked.
"Well, Isn't it common that dark elves are hated, even among yer own wood frolicking elven cousins?"
"Yes, yes. However "Lord" Darian, we are in the shame shoes you and I, and my sister over there too! We are exiled from our empire by our queen. Your land and your kingdom has fallen to her dominion!"
"You know what they say..." Darian said in a passive aggressive tone, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?"
"Indeed, say what did your empire do back in the old days."
"We may have a common enemy, but I don't have to dance and drink with ye on the fire!" Darian said, with an angry stare.
"Please... Tell us," Sheya, the drow female said.
"Your gonna be here for a while, your king assigned you here in the Underworld Kingdoms. We have to know where your from, just a bit..." the dark elf woman sounded curious herself, just like her brother.
Darian sighed "Very well, my empire. The Horde Empire, was an empire of many races, Men, elves, ogres, dwarves, and many other humanoid beings... Heck, even gnomes and halflings. And low-minded goblins!"
"There must be much more to it, your empire was once the most greatest kingdom to rule our world!" Sheya said.
"Short answer, we were an empire of slaves who would never accept to be slaves in our own lands!" Darian hissed, he rather not share his history with the untrustworthy.
"Really?" Erngath said.
"Yes... And can I ask you somthing?" Darian said with a fake fat angry smile.
"Shoot!" Erngath said with an open smile.
"Sure brother, give the mercenary lord your musket!" Erngath's sister said with a wry smile through her mask.
"No need, it's fine..." Darian said "Just lower ye dagger before I bash ye face in iron! And ask your sister to do the same!"
