Ten years after Darian left his mother, and father to become one of The Lord Officer, Karlmond, right hand men.
He looked at Darian, his eyes looking causal behind his golden crowned helmet. “Are you thinking of something, or someone…?”
“Do you think my mother and father, my siblings will be disappointed?” Darian asked.
“For not being a weakling? Unlike your siblings, you are gifted with true vision.”
“Are you sure? Do you really think I should be King of House Dragonbane? Don’t you think I am a little cruel…?” Darian asked.
“Your daddy… He believes he can save everyone he wants to help everyone… He should rather worry about his own people… He should worry about our kingdom… Your kingdom… Our people…” Karlmond said.
“Our race, The tauruns… You mean…. Come on, only humans and elves you can stand are those whom are under your orders, and the obedient ones especially…” Darian replied with a debatable expression.
“Yes, but when I mean our people… I mean the entire races under our banner… Under our house… I can deal with them to say the least…” Karl said, with no emotion… Yet Darian could hear he didn’t want to lose them. Not that he liked them, but they were great assets for sure… Even though they are men, elf, or some other races…
These halls were dark, especially at afternoon… A few hours and the sky shall turn red, and monsters shall lurk the streets again… “Let’s go for a drink, non-alcohol… We can’t be piss drunk and shoot with our muskets. And swing our axes at the same time…” The Lord Officer replied…
“I hope that salmon hasn’t expired…” Darian said. “Are you up for a game of cards afterwards?”
“No, I am up for a game of chess however… Good for tactics…” Karlmond replied, Darian never understood why Karlmond hated card games so much…
