Description
Created for an art hole in my current project "The Sith Academy" this piece was created entirely in Photoshop by own device. Probably around 2 hours all told as I experimented with layers, plugins, etc. The background, is of course, a dark starfield I created specifically for Dark Side Art for this supplement.I'm not terribly happy with it, and would like to see an actual 3d artist do a Sith Holocron, preferably without a background... but hey, this will work for now.

Danke! I'm not very comfortable on the boards here at Devart- no one really bites on any of my posts. But I'd like to see as many versions on holocrons (jedi or sith) as people would like to try. Do you patrol the boards?

Holocrons seem to be one thing that most starwars artists dont draw.
The dev boards are usually too much of a mess to bother looking at.

It sure has atmosphere and sets the mood right.
Hey, is that the "There was a young girl from Nantucket" limerick in Sith script on the Holocron?

Actually the script is "Sith Prophecy" and is a haiku-
"A sith lord rises,
Hatred rolling off in waves
Dark saber swinging"
lol
I made a broken holocron. And while I like the colors and mood, I'd still be interested in how such a simple object could be made... uber cool... by someone more talented than me.
