I think we can all guess who The United Hoffnung Republics are based off
As always, from left to right: Kampaigner, Luftmarine Shutzen, Jager, Schermer...
May redesign the Luftmarine here, even though I think he looks pretty cool, but I digress.
Fun fact about Skirmishers/Jagers/Heckenshutze/Guerrilla's, that brown cylinder they have on there back carries the equipment for AP mines. Engineer's and Skirmishers will be able to lay mines in the game.

I suggest you get a good French-West Indian accent in at one point as well... or French-Egyptian (literally have 0 idea what they are saying, but it's fun)

I had a Moroccan teacher in Grade 8. He knew 8 languages, none of which where English, and he spoke French with a weird accent. When he would be explaining something, he'd start speaking some tribal language midway through, leaving everyone baffled.
Fun times.
We did nothing that year as you can imagine.

But they're mercenaries, right? Can different nations hire a bunch of them?

These are supposed to be the distinct Hoffnung army units. In the story and at the start of the campaign they will be heavily reliant on Mercenaries, but I want people to have the ability to actually have a Hoffnung army.
I will draw up some Merc units eventually, and everyone can recruit them.

That's an interesting idea. Would make the campaign more interesting. Not sure if I'm going to add them to the general campign, but I guess that would be an easy alternate start position to add.

They'd be some sort of final test to see if the player, who now controls most of the planet, can defend it from the alien foe. XD

That would be interesting. The AI would need to be good for that to be a real challenge. Especially if the player gets all the high end units that haven't left the drawing board yet in the artwar.
