Description
This is dedicated to my English teacher. She saw the line art and really liked it. So I wasted my weekend coloring it. =] She's always talking about words like "Gonna" ,"Shoulda", "Woulda" etc. And the classroom is semi-based on hers. She's one of my fav. teachers outta 3 at school. So, I hope she likes it.It was really fun to color.
Art aspect:
Soft shading was my goal for this. I even tried my best at hair shading. To tell you the truth. I think I did a great job on this. My best point maybe was the walls/blackboard. My worst points were the chair poles, the black hair, the banner, and the annoucement board. I did my best with lighting. So tell me what you think everyone, and such... Tips and Junk always welcomed.
PS: HAHA! Threw in the SM uniform.
PS X2: The black board says: Romeo and Juliet. Hands Analogy. Rewrite in modern english.
That's actually due on Monday.
Amount of time: 19 hours
Tools: PS.7 and black sharp.

the expressions, hair, and feeling of the picture is just great.
the only thing i would say is work on proportions a little bit, and maybe use the dodge tool on the clothing as well?

I was working on a strip last weekend and I was like let me use the dodge. But I didn't get how to use it. Whenever I tried to "dodge" something. [I guess...?] It didn't affect the picture. How exactly do I use it?

...um i don't know what's wrong with the tool then because it always works for me aha. you might want to see if the percentage is high enough... sometimes it's on too low and you can't tell a difference.

The hair shading is getting better. I understand that learning how to do detail takes time, so just keep working on it.
However, the guy's legs seem a bit too proportionally short compared to his upper body, which makes him really awkwardly sized. He should either have longer legs, or a shorter torso, or both, to make him look a little more balanced.
For the window parts at the top (they're windows, right?), you could do a slightly darker border around them, to give them a little more depth.
And the chair legs are shaded differently, one of them is brighter and one is darker. You might want to think of making those all match.
Also, are the eyes supposed to be in different styles? That's kind of bothering me. The redhead girl's got the best, in my opinion.
Lastly, I like how you did the redhead's legs. Look nice. Keep working at it!
