why is the first order using first gen AT-ATs? anyways the Gozanti really solved the issue of "how the flying fuck do they deploy those massive walkers???" in an effective way.

I often thought about the turn around of their tech. if you look at the turn around time for the US military, just one country compared to a galaxy-wide empire and the bureaucracy behind it. I would think they would be using the same stuff for many many decades. With the newest items going to front-line forces and the outlying edge having millennia old tech... just my non-techie thoughts... oh and great image, thanks for sharing!

Great comment!  I think you are right.  Plus, why replace old systems when they are still doing a good job?  Thanks for the comment!

I don't think the First Order uses Gozanti-class Ships.

We'll probably never know for sure, but I think that the First Order certainly could (and probably would) use Gozanti-type ships.  With most of the First Order's resources devoted to building the massive Starkiller Base, any remaining resources would likely be concentrated on building new state-of-the-art front-line battle systems like the AT-M6, the Resurgent-Class star destroyers, etc.  With so many resources consumed in that way, why waste time, money, and effort designing and building replacements for low-tech heavy-lift freighters, when there are probably a lot of old surplus Imperial-era ships still around that could easily do the job.  In fact, the First Order makes use of a lot of old Imperial-Era designs.  The recently published "The Rebel Files" confirms that the First Order does still make use of Imperial-Class Star Destroyers.  "The Last Jedi Incredible Cross-Sections" confirms that the First Order continues to use old Imperial-era designs such as the AT-ST and AT-AT, with minimal upgrades.  Even its front-line TIE fighters, stormtrooper armor, and blasters, are subtle upgrades of old Imperial designs.  So with this approach already well-established, it's not a huge leap to imagine that some Gozanti-style ships (with minimal upgrades) might well be in service.
