For a backstory, I’m imagining that the Riddler saw this car at a car show in Gotham, and immediately recognized its potential. So he stole the car, repainted it, and filled it with all sorts of internal high-tech gadgetry to suit his own devious purposes. I like to imagine that it makes its first unexpected appearance in the middle of a parade on the streets of Gotham.
