Though I personally am sure about 270% that he IS gonna show up after all. I am sure when you pick up a plushie/any toy of a favorite character, they're instantly "activated" in your mind and huggle all your emotions. So given that there are companies that make plushies based on kids' drawings, and that even after moving, Riley's parents might've saved at least a couple of her doodles...
