The result of an unusual, but funny conversation I had with . We were talking about Punch-Out when he thought of that if a sequel were made on the WiiU or 3DS, what if Pit from Kid Icarus was guest opponent?

Given that Pit has recently spent a good deal battling underworld hordes, alien invaders (the Aurum), and even overthrew a few gods (Medusa and Hades), fighting in the boxing ring would be something up his alley. Another idea that had us laughing was having Lady Palutena as his cornerperson, with her usual bits of advise, slight sarcasm, and jokes. Needless to say, all that had me itching to give this a shot.

For this, I decided to draw Pit shirtless, while I'm not good at anatomy, Pit is pretty basic, so getting the lines was pretty quick, but the tough parts were Pit's face and hairstyle- Pit's eyes are pretty rounded, and I'm not used to doing anime eyes. As for Pit's hair and laurel crown, one thing added to another, and... by the time I finished, his hair pretty much turned into a mane... but it did turn out decent..

As for Pit's garb, I decided to do a mix- I kept his sandal/boots since those were pretty functional, considering all the walking, running, dodging Pit does on ground combat. The trunks, I added the belt buckle from his toga, and added a standard Greek pattern on the cuffs. I made them short and kept Pit's black tights since it wouldn't look much like Pit without them.

The wings were a bit tricky, but I did have some minor experience drawing them, prior to this, so it was a matter of getting the overall bits right.

I haven't figured out a color scheme yet, barring the boots, but I might do the trunks white with brown and gold, to keep in touch with Pit's toga. As for the gloves, I haven't decided yet.

Overall, this was a fun experiment to do, one I needed to get through a small block I had, yesterday. I'm interested in seeing how the color update will turn out.
