Description This one's been a while in coming- the last part of a request. The conclusion of the
sparring match between Edgar Voldge and Leon Kennedy...

_
The next three rounds was test for both particpants. Leon  made use of his reach and size to chip at Edgar from a distance, using jabs for far range, hooks and uppers for when the boy closed in.    Edgar found it a it annoying, as the concentrated attacks on his face yield   a few swells on his face and his right eye turning a shade of purple.  While the headgear helped, the fact Leon was able to do this kind of damage showed he needed  to adapt.  Edgar started turtling his way into Leon's  range, concentrating on on attacking the midsection, scoring  good hits to Leon's ribs and belly.
The only draw back was that this opened the young blacksmith up to  a couple good hooks and uppercuts to the head.

Round 6 was the last one of the sparring session- after touching gloves, the cop and the smithy circled each other a bit, prodding with jabs and trying to maneuver the other into making a mistake.  Edgar was stubborn, but he had some growing to do yet. If he could get him in the corner, it would be simple to overwhelm him with  hooks until his guard gave way.  Edgar had an idea in mind, but he knew Leon was starting to favor defending his body and nailing the face, so for a little while, he attacked the face- while the bruises up there weren't  as bad as the body, he needed to force Leon to shift his defense.

About a minute and thirty seconds in, Leon   tried to fake out Edgar with a right jab to the face and throw a left hook to the cheek. Edgar  managed to spy the shifting of the left shoulder and duck. He moved in, clenching his left glove and threw a hard uppercut  into the liver and felt it drive in deep. Leon stopped in his tracks  as he felt his knees buckle, but more than that, a sudden flare erupted in his breadbasket- like  someone one set off a grenade inside- the accumulated damage flared up a few old stings, but the area of impact  was hit the hardest. He felt like he was ready to throw up- he coughed a bit,  causing his mouthguard to drop. His arms wrapped  around his body to try and dull the burning, but it didn't let up-his he dropped to his knees and started to pitch forward. He put his gloves down to the mat to stop himself from crashing  in full, but he was on his hands and knees...

FOr a moment, Edgar  stood there before remembering to head to a far corner.   Marcus started the count.   Leon tried to pick himself up, getting up  on one leg, but his liver flared up again, causing him to buckle. He braced his left forearm over it while trying to hold himself up with his right.  The count soon reached 10.

Edgar started to feel relief that he won, but at the same time, felt a bit odd he knocked out a cop.  After a bit of help ( and a  good cold pack), Leon managed to get back on his feet. At first, he thought it embarrassing to lose to a  kid, but mulling over how things went, it was no different than how he had to fight some of the horrors he saw on what was supposed to be his first day on the job... The only difference being he underestimated the young redhead.... in any case, a loss in a sparring session was nowhere near as bad as possibly losing his life, by comparison.

Marcus made sure to tell the two how he thought they performed: For Edgar, the boy needed to work on his defense a bit more, but was surprised that he ended the session with a liver blow. As for Leon,  while he did underestimate his opponent, he  demonstrated good combat sense throughout the match, scoring the first knockdown, and keeping Edgar at bay for a while.   Not too shabby, he thought overall.

_____

This part was the original request I was asked for in regards to this fight.  While discussing the details, it ballooned into a four-part match. This one, I wanted it to turn out as if the end of a long fight, and I hope I was able to do that. While I know in terms of game cannon, Leon likely hasn't done any fisticuffs, he does have  rudimentary close-range combat skills via knife-fighting, which he would learn from and alongside Krauser, prior to the events of RE4. I just finished streaming the game  last month, as well.   So quite a lot happened between the time I started this batch until now. I would say this felt a bit strange, but at the same time, despite being a pacifist, Edgar's had some unusual opponents under his belt. XD

Feels a bit strange that this one's over, but it was an interesting thing to work on.

It took a long time between it beginnings and now, so I hope you guys liked how it turn out, though I may need to look through the older parts, there IS something I noticed that needs to be addressed.
