This is something I've worked on for a couple days.
A bit of a collaboration with .
In this case, the start of a boxing match between Raven and Max.

Max was making a name for himself in the ring- participating in fight tournaments. More than glory and thrills of victory, he enjoys it as a chance to meet
people and make new friends. Over the course of several matches, Raven had spectated a few of them. Impressed with Max's determination, skills, and friendly demeanor outside fights, a match with the Leanbox candidate was a possible inevitability.

And so here we have Raven and Max in the ring- the rules had been discussed, and now they're touching gloves, wishing each other good luck before the bell rings. Once it does, any words spoken will be through the business end of their boxing gloves.

For this one, I didn't want to go for the usual 2D depth. This one, I wanted to do like a splash page for it. I applied my recent discoveries a bit more with the lights and to a small extent, the shine on the gloves. Getting the scale right took a bit of time since I needed to bear heights in mind- Raven stands at 5'9, while Max is 5'4. Even so, Max may be small, but he's proven he can punch above his weight when push comes to shove. Fortunately there's no malice or grudges like in a few of Max's recent matches. This should be fun.
