Description Researching all interviews and articles related to Half-Life 2's development, confronting the maps from the WC map pack, I've created a decently detailed and precise roadmap of this interesting journey, simple to read and consult. I'm open to suggestions and corrections, but it should all fit nicely in the grand scheme of things.

Why did you put Kraken base's cutting in 2002? deep_01_011 is last edited 26 january 2001, proto_deep002-02b - 22 august 2001.
And weather control existed in the early draft that started on Borealis/Hyper and also had Kraken base, so I feel it should be somewhere earlier too.

Thanks for your feedback. You are indeed correct, all deep prototypes are from 2001 and the deep folder is empty. So, I went with this logic: all arctic regions except for the Borealis were removed February 2002 or around that date, very close to it. Moreover, the Kraken base teleporting scene from Kleiner's lab was last edited February 2002 as well, and it wasnt an HDD backup (there are quite a few dated 12\2002 which I feel are just backups), at the same time, conscripts and Vance were cut as well, so the purpose for Kraken was definitively doomed at that moment. Until then, there was always a chance for Kraken to exist in some form, wether as a repurposed base in the arctic's surface (most likely recycled for an unreleased Episode 3, where Mossman is at the moment in the story - and they showed concept of a chopper crashing as well, the successor to the C-130) or again under the sea but with further alterations.
As for Weather Control you are correct, I'll update the image.
